Mind Field

I have to say. This video is brilliant. Some of these kids are just insane. If there was any dispute over Dino Jr. being the official skate video band, it is now settled. I thought maybe Sonic Youth or Fugazi or some shit could give them a run for their money but no. On another note, I noticed something very interesting. Duane Pitre wrote some of the music for this video. Now nobody remebers Duane Pitre (not to be confused with Duane Peters) but me because my first board ever was his pro model (Flip). I think I may have seen him in a 411 Chaos clip or something but that's it.

  1. I don't know where to begin how good that video is. I was actual blown away by some parts, (AVE, Jake Johnson, Mike Taylor, the kids) and the guys I didn't want to watch had really short parts. Fuck it, there's no complaining in this- it was just too good. The music, the editing, the cool art stuff, all great. Bravo! And didn't Duane Pitre used to skate for Alien in the early days I thought?

  2. i remember duane in the first workshop vid. memory screen 4 life! dydrek actually skated better in that video then in this video, and he was like 14 years old back then. grant taylor is friggin crazy, and jake johnson is radical boots. its about time animal collective showed up in skate vids. they should have been the modest mouse of the late 2000's as far as skate vids go. that's enough garbage out of me. john, can you please clarify the law on posting this vid, because if you can, ill give it a proper name and that way when people search for it, they will see the greatness of skatevideoshit!

  3. How come nobody mentioned Arto or that kid Dylan Rieder's part: my two faves? I agree with Jordan. Animal collective works awesome in these vids. Personally love the Battles song in Arto's part. That part is amazing all around.

  4. Arto's part was pretty cool. I didn't know he was still jumping down big rails. Everyone of them had two kinks in it! Did anyone else really like the segments inbetween? I personally loved the wind up toys in Arto's part. Its all about attention to detail.

  5. I loved them. The segments really made the vid. The footage of the people on the segways was great.

  6. im gonna watch it again. one hour is a bit long, but when you have twenty six pros and forty three ams on a team, i guess it needs to be that long.

  7. It didn't feel like an hour, unlike that 6 hour long Fully Flared. Wasn't Marc Johnson's part 11 minutes long?
