Shimizu

Hey, I got an idea. How about someone else posts a fucking video every now and then? What the hell is going on here? I'm beginning to think that I'm just posting these things so that I can watch them when I get bored sometime in the afternoon. If that's the case, then I'm posting this video so that I can watch it in a minute cuz it's rad. It's from the Nike skate video, which in general was totally crappy. In fact, I find it hard to say anything nice about Nike, but every dorkazoid in Portland and everywhere else for that matter wears Nike. I even had a pair, when I was an idiot. Shimizu is good.

Frenchy's Fun Time

Frenchy's Fun Time from Jordan Bernier on Vimeo.
Due to some requests, I got my brother Jeff to post this shit on Vimeo (high quality, yeah!). Good work Jeff. “Frenchy's Fun Time” was filmed between 1999-2001 in and around Hartford, Connecticut and was developed for public access television. It was no surprise when it was received as a huge success. In the New York Times, "Frenchy's" was applauded as being “more touching then The Shawshank Redemption” and “funnier then Joe versus the Volcano.” . The following year, “Frenchy's Fun Time 2” aired to even greater critical acclaim. “Crooked Grind” and “We Forgot the Camera” were the accompanying full length video projects and are often times referred to as modern masterpieces. Good luck if you can find a copy of any of these Jordan Bernier works, I hear they run on ebay for close to $15,000. Thank your lucky stars you can watch this shit for free on my blog.

Johnny Grogan

I watched this part earlier today, but now I totally forget everything about it. You'll probably forget it too after about five minutes. I think this dude was good, which may be a vague adjective, but seriously, what do you want me to say about these stupid videos? I can't even remember if the song in this part was any good.

Alex Davis

I think this part is from the Last of the Mohicans vid.

Vids that need to be posted:

Wow did you see that jordan vid from
the old farmington park. . . jeez who knew
that kid skated?
We need the john trani throwback part
from crooked grind.
We need the tyler matta part from the
same movie.
also the spelling of jordans last name
in that vid was awesome!

Ploesser Like Dresser

I'm posting this shit tonight so that I don't have to post any crap tomorrow. It took me a while to find this part, and I know it's old and shit, but I think this dude skates cool shit. Check the wallie to back smith. Well done. FUN FACT #1763: John Trani used to work for Birdhouse, and one time he got to eat Bagel Bites with Tony Hawk. Yummy!

Mike Barker

HYPE! SKATEBOARDS "BELIEVE" PROMO - MIKE BARKER from HYPE! Skateboards on Vimeo.
Populis turned into Popwar. Then Popwar turned into Hype! But Mike Barker will always be Mike Barker.

Nester Judkins

To tell you the truth, I'm pretty much completely out of videos to watch. They took down Mind Field, but you can still down;load it from the sendspace link if you didn't catch it. I can post it again if that doesn't work. Anywho, this Nester part is from a few years back when he rode for Santa Cruz. I'm looking forward to some of his shit when Enjoi or Tilitmode or some other team puts out a vid. Sweet Jane!

Gilbert Crockett

This guys got lots of footage out there fromt he Mystery video, Fallen video, local shop videos and short clips. Just found this latest one and can't get enough of this guy. Currently my favorite skater. Flick for days

Matt Field

Crazy style. Check out thems ollies!

Video problems?

Is anyone else having problems seeing the posted vids? They don't seem to load up for me. Only "X"s.

Josh Swyers

This dude's 'aight. Richmond, or Raleigh, or some shit like that! I posted this one in honor of the days when Tyler lived down south.

Blast from the Past!

Pitre, Clarr, Dyrdek.

48blocks.com focus group

Some good skating out of SF. Don't really know who these guys are, but they're good. You haven't seen this yet, so you should probably watch it.

Jerry Hsu

I think this part is pretty crazy. It was funny to learn that he taped the kink back on the rail for his fakie flip over (apparently for aesthetic reasons).

Kirchart - Klein

Blah Blah Blah. Blah Blah.

An Answer To Your Question

This video should answer your question if you haven't seen it already. Fuck Johny Cash, Heath Kirchart is the Man In Black!

Kirchart insane?

So, I've watched Kirchart's part in Mind Filed numerous times, and I've come to the conclusion that he is totally insane. That gap that he tries to clear is ridiculous.

David Clark, Southern Comfort

Hotlanta! This dude skates for Krooked. You don't. He probably knows the Gonz, too. Atlanta seems to have some really cool spots and a lot of good people are coming out of there now. They got a nice little homemade skate scene going on there. I guess all you gotta do is buy a VX-1000 and a huge fisheye and any asshole will watch you skate. That's where this blog comes in. Does anyone even look at this stupid thing anymore?

Alan Peterson

I'm still in the mode of watching Mind Field everyday, but I though I should post something new since it's been a few days. I can't even remember if I watched this part or not. I'll probably watch it now. I always had a list of under rated skated and Alan Peterson was one of them. The other was Dorian Tucker, weird huh? I can't find anything from Dorian Tucker on the internets. But this part isn't Dorian Tucker, it's Alan Peterson, and he can rip a halfpipe without a helmet. That seems dangerous.

Regal Road

habitat regal road vid

This is that video Allen was talking about, I think? Fuck it, I'm not gonna post for a day or two because this Mind Field business has got me all out of orbit. I'm just gonna have to focus on that vid for a while. Take it all in, ya know?

Josh Kalis in Mono

Since its Alien Workshop week here, I thought I'd post this Josh Kalis clip from a year or two ago. Its "throwaway" stuff, but its pretty spectacular. And the Rolling Stones' song will make you watch it more than once. There was a Habitat clip that went along with this called, "Regal Road." Maybe someone else can post that?

Mind Field

I have to say. This video is brilliant. Some of these kids are just insane. If there was any dispute over Dino Jr. being the official skate video band, it is now settled. I thought maybe Sonic Youth or Fugazi or some shit could give them a run for their money but no. On another note, I noticed something very interesting. Duane Pitre wrote some of the music for this video. Now nobody remebers Duane Pitre (not to be confused with Duane Peters) but me because my first board ever was his pro model (Flip). I think I may have seen him in a 411 Chaos clip or something but that's it.

Here's a Link

http://www.sendspace.com/file/tc7kx5

I'm not gonna tell you what this is, cuz I don't want to get sued by a major snowboard corporation. Especially one that recently purchased a mid-size skateboarding company. I wonder what the hell I'm talking about?

Minds in a Field

Let's see how long this shit lasts.

New Jake Johnson stuff

I'm pretty sure this is his Mindfield part- just to a different song. Holy shit is he good. Hit the mute button and go put on Dinosaur Jr. or some shit.

Pontus Alv

This guy used to skate for Mad Circle and Arcade. This part uses Joy Division and it's pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of Joy Division in skate vids, but Pontus does it solid! Oh, and I forgot to mention, there is some really rad skating in this part, too. How come Berger doesn't post shit anymore? Don't let me down Berger.

Brian Downey

I think this is from some video Yellow Skateboards must have put out. I'm just guessing because if you through the youtube user's account, you can find clips from this same video featuring none other than... the Yellow riders at the time. This company is now out of business, but they had some good riders. So go check out guys like Ryan Nix and 80's Joe. Just go to- oh do I really have to do everything for you?

Monday, February 9, 2009

Kevin Coakley

I'm almost totally out of videos to post. Fuck. Well, I found this one somewhere and this dude if good so I posted it. Now he skates for Blueprint. He's from Boston and he won Slap's One In A Million contest a couple years back. He was also in Static 3, sharing a part with Lee Berman, I think?

Gonz - Video Days

This part just makes me feel good. 1991. You know the deal. That big double kinked rail that Gonz boardslides? Doesn't the Muska do the same like 10 years later in "Fulfill the Dream"? Or is that a grind? I'm too lazy to check.

thought of the day

Wheres that awesome John Trani part
from the second video(crooked grind?). . . just sayin

Peter Bici

Peter Bici was an Zoo York rider from awhile back. Real solid east coast style.

Sunday, February 8, 2009

Matt Reason

This guy was around Philly for the Eastern Exposure vids and all that rad stuff. I don't remember seeing much of him after 1997. That's it.

Austyn Gillette - Inhabitants

Likin' this kid's silky smooth style. Habitat video 2008.

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Jack Sabback

Soooo, this guy has been around for a few years now, but I never really got to see much of him. Then, he put out this video part and I was totally like, "Holy Shiite Sunni Muslim, this dude is good!" This vid is from Ricky Oyola's board company, Traffic. Puleo has a part in it, and there is some good skating in the friends section. The vid is free so if you're interested (and you probably aren't) check it out. Plus, where the hell is Mind Field? Boudreau, I thought you were downloading that shit.

Chomsky

Chomsky rides toy machine? Sweet.

John Motta

This is some older footage. The 360 flip on the waterfall bank was one of my favorite covers awhile back for Slap.

Mike Manzoori - 'Hating Life' A4 (1999)

This dude used to be pro or something, but now he just films for Emerica I think. I've never really seen any skating from him except for this part. It's pretty cool, and he's better then you, so you should probably watch it.

New York Super 8 Footy

Jason Wurm put this together and I'm gonna guess he's living in New York. Pretty good guess, right? I've never actually heard of him before I stumbled upon this vid. Yeah, the skating isn't monumental, but if you've ever show Super 8 before, then you would know how rad it is. Putting together three minutes of Super 8 footage is way difficult, yet this part comes out real nice. I don't know any of the skaters in here, though the line where the guy skates through the crowded sidewalk is solid.

pat duffy questionable

cool part everyone talks about it.
so don't be left out.
the 360 flip double flip off the curb
is pretty rad along with every
other trick.
fun fact: pat duffy has a
restraining order against jordan.
dont ask me why...

Bill Pierce

You probably remember Bill from Roger Skateboards' Roger of the Month, but this is pretty much a full part from him. Lots of 360 flips and the noseslide at the end is tremendously technical, wft? Did anyone find Mind Field yet?

411 First Chaos

Holee Sheet! The first Chaos from the FIRST 411. There's too much to say so I'll let you all say it in the comments section.

Bobby Worrest- Get Familiar

Me being sick+ too much overtime at work- not skating x being a douchebag = One Bobby Worrest video part in 5 days.

Puleo Again!

When this part came out, it totally changed my whole outlook on Mr. Puleo. All I saw was super fast skating and super good spots. This is Puleo's part from La Luz, which was an independent video, but I'll be damned if I know who made it. If you haven't seen this one yet then you suck.

Dave Caddo Anonymous II

This dude lives in NYC and he rips. He's got a totally crazy style and a high ollie. That is pretty much all I know about him. He's got a lot of parts all over the internets, but I thought this one was coolest. I think he skates for Creation, maybe?

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Pat Steiner

No one else is posting shit so I guess I'll have to take care of this damn blog myself. This dude was in the new Static vid and he was a finalist in Slap's One In A Million contest a couple years back. Super good with great spots. Does anyone even come to this stupid site anymore? Pat Steiner before he was some big super star skateboarder. Check out that shifty ollie off of the curb cut. Brilliant!

Jayme Fortune

Who remembers when this guy used to skate for Santa Cruz? Here is another Portland local. I wonder how these guys get so good at street when it's raining all the time? The nollie 360 flip to back tail is cool even if it's sketchy.

Nick Palmquist

Yeah, I know, he skates to House of the Rising Son which is totally lame, but the skating is really good. This part is from a shop vid in Portland, and I don't know the name of the vid, but the shop is Cal's Pharmacy. Since I live in Portland now, I thought it would be nice to post some local Portlanders.

Jeremy Wray - Second Hand Smoke

1995. I can't believe how long ago this was filmed. Killin' the Hubba and Carlsbad Gap. No sound courtesy of Warner Music Group. It was Cream, "White Room."

Rodney Mullen - Second Hand Smoke

Classic.

MInd Field

Can someone please download the new alien workshop vid and post it here? Pretty please? It comes out in three days, suckas.

This One Better Work

This is Richie Jackson's part from the new Transworld vid. I posted it a minute ago, but it didn't work. This one better fucking work.

Psychedelic Skateboarding

Let me know if I'm off base with this one, because there are about a dozen tricks in this part that I think are super good, including, though not limited to, the hamburger grab over about 15 stairs. Everyone has probably seen this guy(Richie Jackson) from the new Transworld video, and come to think of it you've probably seen this part already as well. Trippy.

Tiltmode on Thrasher

From the video Jaded. This video came out about 7 years ago and it's actually pretty good. It comes complete with a Consolidated section, an Enjoi tour, a full part from couple guys that are on Enjoi now, and a bunch of other dudes as usual. Sorry I didn't post for a while, my computer was getting fixed. The button that opens the laptop was stuck. Bummer.

Brad Cromer - Krooked Welcome

Speaking of Mike Anderson and Krooked ams, heres a fresh new one Brad Cromer. Never heard of this guy before he was put on but looking at this and his other videos I want some more.
