Golden Age of Skateboarding
Golden Age of Skateboarding from Jordan Bernier on Vimeo.
I made this video last week when I was learning how to use Final Cut. It's a day of skateboarding in the Northwest as Tyler and I drive an old van from Santa Rosa, California to Portland, Oregon. We found a couple parks, saw a couple sites, stepped into a couple oceans, and listened to a lot of music. This particular tune is by a band called 'Golden Age' and they are friends from Baltimore. Their music is totally awesome, plus one of the composers is a rad skater. Hope you like it.

Skatepark Near My House
This park just opened right down the street from my house, so if you're reading this then you should come visit me this summer to skate. Seriously though, I went there yesterday and there must have been 200 kids skating this place. As you can guess, I was pretty much sucking the whole time. Sweet! The benches are made of granite, which is awesome. The halfpipe has pool coping made of granite, which is not very awesome. This place has tons of possibilities if you can get there when there aren't a million kids. Oregon parks usually consist of gigantic pools and bowls with a street course that boasts a bench and a four set. Benedict park is a welcome change from the usual hesh course. East coast skaters rejoice!

Nate Lacoste
This dude is one of my favorite ams, and now he rides for Roger, my favorite new company of 2008. From Vancouver, skates tech, skates smooth, skates fast, skates rad. Plus his last name is Lacoste, and who doesn't like those polos with the little alligator? You'd be a damn liar if you said 'Jordan.'

Bill Sands
I will pretty much post anyone who isn't skating in southern California. Bonus if the dude is good and doesn't only skate spots I've seen a billion times. Bill Sands, you made the cut.

This guy is from around my end of the earth. Seattle or Portland or Vancouver or some crap like that.

Silas in Especial
This vid was under the radar and I think Silas was filming for the Inhabitants vid at the same time, but this part came out radical regardless.

Todd Jordan
I feel like this video was kinda under the radar, and no one ever talks about this dudes part, but it's pretty rad. Nike video. Plus his last name is my first name. Mad props!

Dave Abair
I couldn't figure out how to embed a vid I saw of this dude from Thrasher's website, so I posted it below. Once you see the first trick on the Threasher site, I don't see why you wouldn't be a fan. Anywho, this dude is from Vermont, which is pretty cool. I think he lives in SF. My super deductive reasoning tells me this because all he skates are spots in SF. Like a modern day Sherlock Holmes. The video above is from when Yellow was still in business (2006?).

Anti-hero - Fucktards
First Anti-hero vid. 1997. Has anyone seen the whole thing? Seems kind of fun, except for the busted audio. You ride Burnside yet, Jordan?
Jesse Hotchkiss
I think this part is kinda old (2 years?), and I have never seen or heard of this dude, but he's good. That's pretty much it.

Duffman
Fashion Parade Corey Duffel's part from Cataclysmic Abyss. The two story ditch is completely insane.
Baltimore Skateboarding Montage
The music is pretty hokey...ok, super hokey, but the skating is good and its from Bmore! There is even some clips from the Pants Ramp that I was involved in creating last summer. Allen even got to skate it with me late at night while we drank beers and hung out. Pants Ramp forever!

Baltimore cops V.S. skateboarder
If you haven't seen this clip, then here it is. It's a Baltimore must see. It's a pretty big bummer, but If you stay tuned, I will fill you in on what happens at the end of this nice little story. Just a reminder that cops still suck. Currently it has 3 million views on Youtube and it got plenty of national attention, and with good reason.

Daewon Song Mini Ramp Action
So, I tried to skate this ramp today and it was pitiful. For some reason, I thought I could skate ramps like this, but I really can't. It took me about 40 tries to even come down from a stall. A little embarassing. It doesn't look like shit in this vid, but I think it's at least 5 feet tall and it's steep as hell, so I can definitely appreciate this session. I've never seen anyone rip a ramp liek this as nicely as Daewon does it.
Nyjah Huston - This is my Element
So, when I was working at Blitz, they had a Go Skateboarding Day event, you know set up ramps, cookout, etc. Fun times. I just realized that this kid was skating there. He was better than everyone. It was absolutely ridiculous. Everyone was so jealous.
Old Planet Earth Vid
Yeah, I know this video is annoying because it's entirely in slow mo, BUT the last trick is bananas! The 360 inward heel ain't bad either. John, Burt Reynolds is more of a man then you will ever be.
Paul Rodriguez - Yeah Right!
Blah blah blah. Reynolds was in Cop and a half. Thanks for answering my question, guys.

Andrew Reynolds = Burt Reynolds
So, ya, I read on wikipedia that Reynolds is Burt Reynolds' nephew. Can someone please verify this because I don't believe it.
Dan Forkin
This dude is from Cleveland, which has some pretty good spots and skaters, if I may say so myself.

Johan Stuckey
Nerdy dude from Florida. Sorta like John Trani, just substitute Florida with Wisconsin.

Billy Marks- Ride the Sky
Youtube deleted the original song so you might want to hit the mute button.
Johnson vs. Everyone
Didn't catch this before. Marc Johnson is king...and he seems like a pretty nice guy as well.
Berrics and the Wall Street Journal
How hilarious is this?

Brian Brown
Holy moly. I've been watching those Battles at the Berrics and they are pretty tricky. My top moments so far would have to be nollie double heel and nollie double kicks, matched! and the bigspin cab kickflip, matched! I'm still waiting for the finals. Go Underdog! This video on the other hand, has nothing to do with games of skate. It's Brian Brown from one of those Transworld vids. Check the nose manny to 5-0 to fakie. Neato!
